James Edmonds qualified at Middlesbrough College of Art and Constantines. A practising artist with a passion for “The Veneto” having painted and studied Venice for many years.
Many artists have a fascination with Venice and many styles have tried to capture the essence and the spirit of the ever changing light on the rippling waters of the canals, the reflections of the multi faceted surfaces of the architecture, the sublime colours, and the texture of the surfaces broken and worn by time. All of these things come together with light and constantly rippling water to challenge the artist to try and portray a constantly shifting image to a frozen moment in time.
